Shubha Giri creator of House Of MoMo has been making Nepalese food in our little corner of Dalston for almost three years. It is one of the best kept secrets in this neck of the woods. Momo is the nepalese word for dumplings and these little dumplings are heavenly. Shubha says ‘…nepalese food is spicy but not over the top. The spices in the cuisine are similar to those of India. Momos come from Tibet except the flavours are those of Kathmandu. With Nepal located between Indian and Tibet it draws the best from both worlds… tumeric, corriander… found in South Asian cooking, but prepared with less oil and less heat.’ Our menu will have something special every week as will as our signature momos dishes. I’m looking very much to partnering and working with the Vortex Jazz Club. Hope to see you for the London Jazz Festival’.
