Darren Hayman was born in Brentwood, Essex in 1970. He is a songwriter and guitarist who is well known from his work with the band Hefner in the early 2000s. As of 2012, Hayman was performing solo, with his ever-changing backing group the Long Parliament and occasionally preforming as a part of an indie bluegrass group.
