Darren Hayman was born in Brentwood, Essex in 1970. He is a songwriter and guitarist who is well known from his work with the band Hefner in the early 2000s. Hayman is now eight or nine albums into an increasingly idiosyncratic career path. Darren is also writing the best tunes of his career; increasingly complex and mature songs. As of 2012, Hayman was performing solo, with his ever-changing backing group the Long Parliament and occasionally preforming as a part of an indie bluegrass group.
