Taking a breath from the successful BvR Flamenco Big Band, Van Rossum presents his debut Quartet album Trampoline.
The feeling of hanging in mid-air: that’s what saxophonist and composer Bernard van Rossum aims to to evoke with his new album Trampoline.
Purposely seeking contrast with his Flamenco Big Band, he strives for Music with depth but at the same time light and playful.
Joining him on this quest are some of the UK scene top talents; Alberto Palau (piano), Joe Downard (double bass) and Jay Davis (drums).
“His engaging compositions and arrangements are awash in perception and authenticity”
