Line-up:

Harry Baker – Piano

Oren Mcloughlin – Drums

About

Harry Baker Trio is a musically innovative and conceptually ambitious new ensemble, drawing from jazz, folk and classical traditions. Inspired by the vitality and daring of modern jazz trailblazers such as Dinosaur and Enemy, the trio’s sound is quirky and energising: lyrical melodies and rhythmic exploration mix with searching improvisation, resulting in truly collaborative music-making. The group’s members are all leading lights of the jazz community, having featured with Kit Downes, Sam Amidon and Alex Hitchcock, whilst pianist Harry Baker’s music has been played on Jazz FM and BBC Radio 3 and released on NMC Recordings. The trio is already making a name for itself on the London scene: upcoming performances include joining international solo cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason at Space 289 in January 2022.
