Nigerian pianist NIRAN OBASA and his musicians play contemporary afro jazz where jazz, afrobeat, hi-life and funk are fused together to create hypnotic free flowing and exuberant modern African jazz which is highly influenced by the sounds of Lagos where all musical styles are driven by heavy percussions.

Currently he is the keyboardist with The Yoruba Women Choir and The Rhythms. Lately he focuses on his compositions that bring together his secular and non-secular to create improvisational music that is totally unique.

It is not a surprise that NIRAN OBASA is creating Afro jazz that is driven by heavy bass lines of DARLINGTON JOSEPH and the rhythm invention of STANLEY OHIOS, shimming guitar lines of LEKAN AGBANIYI and explosive saxophone solos of FEMI OSINAIKE.

Tonight NIRAN OBASA and his band explore rhythm, harmony and sounds that make Nigeria such a musical power house.
