‘UNE, DEUX, TROIS’: hymn, plus Tim Fairhall (solo) support
They also play with guests and in improvised configurations. For this April mini-tour David and Chris will be joined by Sylvia Hallett (violin, bicycle wheel, saw & electronics). They released the trio album, ‘silence, then birds’, on the Confront Recordings label in 2018, and individually have worked with Clive Bell, Annie Whitehead and Evan Parker.
Tonight’s support slot will be a solo double bass set by Tim Fairhall. Tim regularly works in the duo Ti/om with saxophonist Tom Ward, which is sometimes augmented to Ma/ti/om with Scandinavian percussionist Matilda Rolfsson. He is also the underpinning bassist with Ward’s group Madwort’s Menagerie.
