As children the twins were sitting in a bathtub, playing folk music on two trumpets and jamming in filthy rehearsal rooms with home-made iron and wash bowl drums. As they grew, they ended up taking the tough road of music students and were thrown out in the world as young musicians; on the road constantly. By way of these experiences, the brothers eventually arrived together, creating their own non-categorizable musical cosmos. The conjunction of this duo of twins is manifested in their own songs; a tandem melting point of two voices, bass, drums and banjo...
The twin brothers Pichler humbled band description is followed by a quite impressive list of credentials, having recorded and performed with Wolfgang Muthspiel ("Bright Side" - Material Records 2005), Mark Copland, Mark Feldman, etc. In 2010 Matthias won the 1. Prize at the International Double Bass Congress "BASS 2010" in Berlin, where the two currently reside. They've both played concerts and shows in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, England, Norway, Finland, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Greece, Ukraine, Vietnam, China, & the USA.
London-based musicians Ivo Neame (Phronesis, Marius Nesset, Kairos 4tet) and guitarist Hannes Riepler (Andre Canniere Group, The London Jazz Jam) join the Rhythm players for a collaboration feat original music.
