Having toured all over the UK and Europe, playing at major festivals such as the North Sea Jazz Festival and last November at the QEH in the London Jazz Festival, John Law's trio comes back to the Vortex to try out, live, a completely new set of compositions of John's, before recording a new album at the end of June. Their previous album, 'Three Leaps of the Gazelle', was sensationally received, but this new CD promises to be John's best writing to date. Full of punchy tunes, both complex and simple, strong melodies and rocking drum grooves. Come along and join the congregation!
John Law - piano/keyboard
Yuri Goloubev - double bass
Asaf Sirkis - drums/percussion
"...so full of joy that it can renew your faith not just in jazz, but music itself." Phil Johnson, Independent on Sunday
"A brilliant trio... a band heading for great things!." John Fordham, The Guardian
