A night of West African rhythms and experimentation, with the grooves of Fofoulah and the delicate musicality of Kouyate, who tonight performs with electronics experimentalist Tremblay. DJs take us into the wee small hours.
Fofoulah is a London-based group mixing Senegalese voice and west African rhythms with dub basslines, sci-fi synths, raw guitars and intense grooves. Featuring musicians from Senegal, the UK and The Gambia, Fofoulah blend genres and cultures to create a sound which is unique in the UK music scene.

Born into the great line of Kouyaté griots in Southern Senegal, Kadialy Kouyaté draws on his West African heritage and its traditional songs to create his own mesmerising compositions. Blending beautiful Mandinka melodies with an upbeat West African groove, Kadialy performs original music inspired by the West African griot repertoire.
Pierre Alexandre Tremblay
Pierre Alexandre Tremblay is a composer and a performer, playing bass guitar and electronics. He has played with the LFO Orchestra (Paris, France), and Splice (London, UK) but favours playing in duets. See more at: Loop Collective
