The Vortex Jazz Foundation was set up in November 2001 to save the Vortex Jazz Club from closure.
A registered charity, (registered charity number 1099088), The Foundation’s aims and objectives are to help secure the future of live jazz in North and East London and to develop a programme of jazz education and audience development.

and bursaries.
Since the original club in Stoke Newington closed the Foundation, in conjuction with the club, are raising money to secure a long-term future at the new venue in Dalston Culture House in East London.
