DESCRIPTION:"Somewhere in the intersecting corridors of jazz\, modernist composition\, Scando-folk and early church music\, there's a small interior chamber that’s not quite silent\, and this is what you'll find there." The Independent\n\nChristian Wallumrød (brother of Susanna\, of Magical Orchestra fame) is considered one of the most prominent musicians of the younger Norwegian generation. He's forged long term collaborations with singer Sidsel Endresen and drummer Audun Kleive (with his Generator X)\, resulting in various recordings (Jazzland Records). He has also recorded several albums on Norwegian labels\, with the trio Close Erase. Wallumrød has generally focused on small and fixed ensembles\, both as a performer and a composer. He regularly gives solo performances and he has participated in a variety of ad hoc constellations moving in different musical directions\, with artists such as Susanne Sundfør\, Nils Petter Molvær\, Ricardo Villalobos & Max Loderbauer\, Karl Seglem\, Jan Bang\, Garth Knox\, DJ Strangefruit\, Oslo Sinfonietta\, Kim Myhr.\n\nChristian Wallumrød - piano\, harmonium\, toy piano\nEivind Lønning - trumpet\nGjermund Larsen - violin\, hardanger fiddle\, viola\nEspen Reinertsen - tenor saxophone\nTove Törngren - cello\nPer Oddvar Johansen - drums\, vibraphone\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\nSupported by the Norwegian Arts Council\n\n
