DESCRIPTION:The great South African guitarist Lucky Ranku has been at the heart of South African music for over 40 years\, playing\, recording and touring with the likes of Miriam Makeba\, Hugh Masekela\, Dudu Pukwana\, Pinise Saul as well as British icon Mike Oldfield and leading his own bands The African Jazz Allstars\, South African Gospel Singers and Township Express.\n\nLucky Ranku's signature guitar sound changed African guitar forever. With The Malombo Jazz Group in the 60s and Julian Bahula's Jabula in the 70s he laid the foundation for what became known as "the township beat". Tonight Lucky Ranku performs an all original compositions with a cracking 6-piece band featuring musicians from across Africa.\n\n
