DESCRIPTION:SynKoke has for years defined a clear cut razor edge of the Norwegian extreme jazz scene. With the last album Religion in Transit it also merged the classical tradition with it\, doing works of Arvo Pärt and Guillaume de Machaut.\n\nDefying genres\, Schnellertollermeier's sound ranges from free improvisation\, hardcore jazz to brute rock music. Their new album X is released this autumn. Andi Schnellmann: bass\, Manuel Troller: guitar\, David Meier: drums\n\nThe Elliot Galvin Trio was formed in 2012 and sees the meeting of three creative minds. Exploring the possibilities of the traditional piano trio line-up with a sense of playful experimentation\, the group play original material written by Elliot. The band effortlessly juggle a number of musical worlds as the realms of classical\, jazz\, popular and art music all make an appearance. He appears with his trio featuring bassist Tom McCredie and drummer Simon Roth (winners of this year’s European Young Jazz Artists award 2014) and they are joined by Harald Lassen\, a Norwegian jazz musician (saxophone piano\, percussions and vocals) and composer\, known from collaborations with musicians like Jon Christensen\, Mats Eilertsen\, Eyolf Dale and more.\n\nCombining indie-rock energy with the improvisational flexibility of jazz\, Pixel are earthy and ethereal\, wistful and aggressive\, sensuous and pummeling.
