SUMMARY:Kansas Smitty’s House Band
DESCRIPTION:The Kansas Smitty’s House Band sprang from the need of a young\, innovative group of jazz musicians to have a home in which to craft their collective sound.\n\nWhen Smitty’s eight members get together\, they play with unmasked joy on both original and classic material. Their inspiration combines a love for the tight\, complex swing arrangements of Basie\, Fletcher Henderson and Sidney Bechet with an ear for contemporary sounds.\n\n2014 saw national radio play on BBC Radio 2\, a string of sold out shows across London and the release of the House Band’s debut 7-inch single.
