DESCRIPTION:Reeds player Finn Peters curates three late night sessions at the Vortex - catch them after the evening concerts. The Independent has described Finn's music as “nothing like you have ever heard before” so expect the same from these shows!\n\nPerforming music from his project The Blue Box Diaries\, Jason Yarde will be twisting raw sax using a full arsenal of electronic madness.\n\nJason Yarde started his playing career with the Jazz Warriors at 16\, and has performed in a wide variety of bands including work with Louis Moholo\, Afro Blok\, Mano Ventura and the big bands of Manu Dibango\, Hermeto Pascoal\, Sam Rivers\, McCoy Tyner\, Andrew Hill\, Hugh Masekela and many others. His own bands include the multi-award-winning J-life and Acoutastic Bombastic\, and his prolific talents as composer\, arranger and producer have led to projects with dance companies and classical orchestras such as the BBCCO and the LSO.\n\n‘Yarde is at the forefront of his generation in the UK.’  The Arts Desk\n\n‘While he's now feted primarily as a composer\, his sax improvising has quietly blossomed to world class.’  The Guardian\n\nFinn Peters is one of the leading and most exciting flute and sax players in the UK today.
