DESCRIPTION:Quest Ensemble\, the contemporary London-based trio\, perform original repertoire from their debut album Footfall. An interaction between three innovative players\, Filipe Sousa\, (piano)\, Tara Franks (cello)\, and Preetha Narayanan (violin)\, Quest Ensemble bring a unique take to the classical piano trio format\, collaboratively creating original work that seamlessly blends improvisation with devised composition. \n\nIntrinsically contemporary in approach\, this ensemble inhabits a lyrical sound world somewhere in the gaps between chamber\, jazz\, folk and 20th Century classical music - with intriguing traces of Vaughan Williams\, Steve Reich\, and Esbjörn Svensson Trio.
