DESCRIPTION:The Vortex is delighted to be hosting a trumpet festival to start 2015. Each night there will be a fantastic soloist accompanied by our own Vortex Trio\, led by the flexible and inimitable Barry Green on piano.\n\n\n\nOriginally from South Africa\, Claude Deppa has performed in UK as a fiery trumpeter in all kinds of jazz\, as well as calypso\, juju\, swing and improvised music. He has worked with groups such as Courtney Pine\, The Andy Sheppard Quintet\, Carla Bley's Very Big Band and Andy Sheppard's Big Co-Motion. He is currently developing his own large-scale brass ensemble Horns Unlimited.\n
