DESCRIPTION:After touring Berlin\, Munich and Vienna\, the Hannes Riepler Quintet concludes an international tour at the Vortex. The band will perform from Riepler's debut album The Brave\, as well as originals out on Riepler's second album in November. Hannes Riepler and American saxophonist Chris Cheek met first at the Vortex Downstairs Jazz Night\, which Riepler hosts\, and subsequently Chris Cheek joined Riepler's group. With Kit Downes (piano)\, Ollie Hayhurst (bass)\, Jon Scott (drums).
