Also part of the Sonny Simmons UK quartet they are joined by Adam Woolf who’s other work has included the Kenneth Marx hip hop collective and releases under the name Tantric Doctors.\n\n \n\n \n\nMatt Hutchinson solo piano\n\nFrom art school with Terry Nielsen Love and jazz groups with a.o Mike Osborne\, these days Hutchinson is best known for both his electronic and acoustic work with Chris Burn and Phil Wachsmann. A rare chance to hear this ever inventive and sensitive player in a solo context.\n\n \n\nPhil Minton voice / John Russell guitar\n\nPhil Minton is one of the most adventurous singers on the scene today. From early work in Jazz through the Mike Westbrook groups and on to major contemporary projects including the founding of the Feral Choir amazing audiences around the world. Here with regular musical partner Russell in a duo that never fails to engage the audience at the cutting edge of creative music as it happens.\n\n \n\n \n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n Fresh from touring his improv-jazz tunes with Inner Space Music\, trumpeter Loz Speyer is joined by Guillaume Viltard\, and long-time colleague Dave Fowler\, in Tumbatareco - a dynamic and cohesive free-jazz improvising trio\, with ears wide open to a big range of moods\, textures and sonic possibilities\, despite the sparse and elemental line-up.\n\nGuillaume Viltard's rhythmic\, highly physical double bass playing\, always accoustic\, has been a driving force alongside the likes of Louis Moholo-Moholo\, Evan Parker\, Eddie Prévost\, Ken Vandermark\, Tony Marsh and Shabaka Hutchings.\n\nDave Fowler plays a huge range of jazz styles with a central focus on improv\, in which his musical associates include Jim Dvorak\, Alan Wilkinson\, Roberto Bellatalla\, Harrison Smith\, Neil Metcalfe\, Elton Dean and Maggie Nicols.\n\nLoz Speyer's equally wide range includes work with Clifford Jarvis\, Amancio d'Silva\, Sarah Jane Morris\, Hugh Metcalf\, Yann Tiersen\, Test Dept... his band Inner Space Music brings him together with Chris Biscoe\, Rachel Musson\, Olie Brice; and his Cuban-Jazz group Time Zone with Stuart Hall\, Martin Hathaway\, Maurizio Ravalico...\n\nhttps://soundcloud.com/loz-speyer/sets/tumbatareco-live-arch1-2015\n\nThe first set will be Steve Beresford's brilliant duo with violinist Satoko Fukuda - a fascinating and boundary-pushing collaboration between one of the UKs leading jazz pianists and stalwart of the free improvisation scene Steve Beresford and classically trained Japanese violinist Satoko Fukuda. as heard at Mopomoso and the London Jazz Festival.\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CC4606ut83I\n\nThe final set will be an orchestral improvisation by all five musicians together.\n\nSteve Beresford is internationally known as a free improviser on piano and electronics\, and has also composed scores for feature films and for numerous TV shows and commercials. He has worked with hundreds of people\, including Derek Bailey\, The Slits\, Han Bennink\, Christine Tobin\, Ivor Cutler\, Prince Far-I\, Vic Reeves\, Alan Hacker\, Ray Davies\, Ilan Volkov\, Christian Marclay\, David Toop\, Najma Akhtar\, Evan Parker\, Adrian Sherwood\, The Flying Lizards\, Stewart Lee\, Otomo Yoshihide and John Zorn. His latest recording is the LP 'Will It Float'\, by a group including the Ståle Liavik Solberg\, John Edwards\, John Russell and Beresford on electronics.\n\nSatoko Fukuda has performed worldwide as a classical violinist since her concerto debut at 13 years old. She has broadcasted an eclectic range of music on Classic FM\, Resonance FM\, BBC Radio 1 and Radio 3. UK appearances include the The Royal Albert Hall\, Wigmore Hall\, Royal Opera House\, South Bank and the Barbican Centre. As a composer and dancer she has worked with Dane Hurst for the Barbican commission "Inside I See You"\, and with Kirill Burlov for the Cloud Dance Festival. Moving fluidly beyond classical music\, she is a regular guest artist at the London Fashion Show and the London Jazz Festival.\n\n\n
