One of the UK's finest singers in any genre"\nTIME OUT\n\nTori Freestone is a British saxophonist\, flautist and violinist who performs at the forefront of the UK improvised music scene as both a sidewomen and highly regarded bandleader.  Freestone is known for her robust tenor sound\, melodic invention as well as an ability to amalgamate into a variety of styles and musical contexts while maintaining her highly personal and distinct voice.\n\n"Freestone has clearly listened widely\, but her musicality and broad experiences have stirred all that input into an imposingly original sound"\nTHE GUARDIAN\n\nAfter growing up training as a classical pianist\, a love of composing\, improvising and jazz developed\, and Alcyona Mick went on to study jazz piano at the Royal Academy of Music and Birmingham Conservatoire. She is also a graduate of the prestigious National Film and Television school with a Master's degree in composing music for film.
