DESCRIPTION:A BAND OFF THE WALL  FREE OPEN WORKSHOP\n\n2.30-5.30\, short performance in Gillett Square 6.00\n\nWe are bringing to life the large and impressive ‘Peace Mural’ opposite Dalston Junction Station\, creating an intergenerational community street band through a series of free workshops and performances.\n\nThis is the launch event – what a New Orleans street band might sound like in Hackney today!\n\nLed by GUO multi-instrumentalist Gerry Hunt\, rehearsals and performances will continue from autumn 2016 and through 2017.\n\nOpen to all adult musicians\, the Band will be acoustic and capable of playing with minimal amplification.
