DESCRIPTION:This heavy-hitting quartet comprises four long-term sparring partners on the European improvised music scene. John Dikeman is an American tenor saxophonist now resident in Amsterdam and known for his trio Cactus Truck and trio with William Parker and Hamid Drake. Belgian guitarist Dirk Serries is known for his highly prolific career as an ambient\, drone\, and industrial composer\, and has spent the last few years diving deep into the world of improvised music\, releasing numerous collaborations. The London based sax and drums pairing of Colin Webster and Andrew Lisle are quickly establishing themselves on the European avant-garde scene\, both as a duo and as Kodian Trio with Serries. The quartet first played together in 2015 at Café Oto\, and this set was released as their debut album.  The quartet followed this up in 2016 with their double LP ‘Apparitions’ on the New Wave of Jazz label.\n\nhttps://newwaveofjazz.bandcamp.com/album/apparitions\n\n
