DESCRIPTION:Francesco Bigoni - Tenor Sax\nIvo Neame - Piano\nAndrea Di Biase - Bass\nDave Hamblett - Drums\n\nEscape Hatch is a new collaboration between MOBO-award winning pianist Ivo Neame\, Italian bassist and composer Andrea di Biase\, and drummer of the moment Dave Hamblett.\n\nThe name of the group is a tribute to the power that music has to transport listeners and performers alike to the antipodes of the mind.\n\nThey will perform music from their latest album “Roots of Unity” released by Whirlwind Recordings in 2016.\n\nThe musical material is a mixture of Di Biase and Neame's compositions\, and the trio explores a large variety of musical landscapes with characteristic verve and integrity.\n\nThey will be joined from Copenhagen by Francesco Bigoni\, one of the most innovative saxophonists on the European Jazz scene.\n\n"The nine pieces\, six by Di Biase and three by Neame\, may be adventurous and sometimes complex but they also contain much warmth\, humanity\, and indeed melody and lyricism."
