DESCRIPTION:Bassist and big band leader Calum Gourlay brings his new Quartet project to The Vortex for its first ever gig. Helena Kay on Tenor Sax\, Kieran McCleod on Trombone and James Maddren on drums. Ahead of an album recording and a UK tour in 2019 the band will premiere some brand new music and some tunes drawn from the past two years of his monthly Big Band residency at the club.
