DESCRIPTION:JACOB GARCHIK UK GOSPEL TROMBONE CHOIR\n\nThis is a very special gig in which New York based trombonist Jacob Garchik links up with UK brass players and a drummer to create a version of his Gospel Trombone Choir.  The UK team has been put together by trombonist Richard Foote leader of the Young Pilgrims marching band.  Richard and promoter Tony Dudley-Evans are great fans of Garchik's The Heavens album in which he arranges traditional gospel songs for a trombone choir and they have worked together to set up this project.  Garchik apparently has always loved gospel music and hearing various trombone choirs in upstate New York inspired him to create his own interpretations of gospel music.  It's to be music of great energy\, but at the same time accessible and joyful.\n\nTo prepare you for the trombone choir\, Jacob will play a short set with a quintet with double trombone front line plus piano\, bass and drums.\n\nThe full line up of the trombone choir is Jacob Garchik\, Richard Foote\, Kieran McLeod\, Tom Dunnett\, Michael Owers\, Nichol Thompson\, Robbie Harvey\, trombones\, Oren Marshall tuba and Andrew Bain\, drums.\n\nThe quintet has Garchik\, Foote plus Andrew Woodhead\, piano\, Olie Brice\, bass\, Andrew Bain drums.\n\nA TDE Promotions event\n\n
