SUMMARY:Fete Quaqua Festival 2019 (Day 1)
DESCRIPTION:\nAdmission each night  £8 / £6 concessions\n\nThree concert pass  £20/£15 concessions\n\n\n3 DAY  PASS\nDAY 2: BOOK\nDAY 3: BOOK\n\n\nSome words from guitarist John Russell\, curator of Fete Qua Qua.\n\n\n"The basic idea behind all my Quaqua projects is very simple. It is to put groups together that recognise existing creative relationships alongside introducing musicians to each other for the first time. Every year I make a mini festival ‘Fête Quaqua’ based on these principles. Over three days the participants work together in different combinations\, every concert being different. Apart from choosing the participants\, the various combinations and giving an indication as to how long each piece should last\, everything else is freely improvised. Uniquely\, free improvisation offers the opportunity for both musicians and audience to discover the music as it happens and\, for those who buy a three day pass\, a chance to experience the natural development that the event is designed to encourage" -  John Russell\n\n‘Quaqua’ Latin - ‘whithersoever/whatever’… ‘Quaquaversal’ - pointing in all directions.\n\n\n\n\nLine up\n\nSue Ferrar (violin)                       \n Bendict Taylor (viola)                       \nJean-Michel Van Schouwburg (voice)                       \nKay Grant  (voice)                       \nRoland Ramanan (trumpet)                  \nMasaharu Shoji  (sax)                          \n Sue Lynch (sax)                          \nAlex Ward (clarinet/guitar)          \n Steve Beresford (piano/electronics)  \n Lee Boyd Allatson (drums)                    \nKen Ikeda (electronics)               \nBlanca Regina (electronics)              \nPascal Marzan (guitars)                       \nJohn Russell (guitars)                       \nHarry Gilonis (poetry/words)     \n\n      \n\n\n[embed]https://youtu.be/2yVD15C6f24[/embed]\n\n\n\n \n\n[embed]https://youtu.be/8RjUyc2vWpM[/embed]
