DESCRIPTION:Comprising leading figures from the UK improvised music scene\, Union Division present Micromotives: a daring and anarchic approach to spontaneous music\, with improvisation\, collaboration and sociality at its core.\n\nFollowing on from the work of John Zorn\, Sun Ra\, Christian Wolff\, Anthony Braxton and ICP Orchestra\, this new practice maintains individual freedoms inherent in free improvisation\, whilst encouraging modes of synchronicity and striking structural events that are virtually impossible through improv alone. Players are equally empowered to shape the performance\, able to take temporary control\, and coordinate the group in various ways.
