DESCRIPTION:John Parricelli began his career as a guitarist in 1982 and was one of the founding members of the British big band Loose Tubes\, with whom he recorded three albums. He has worked with Annie Whitehead\, Kenny Wheeler\, Norma Winstone\, Lee Konitz\, Paul Motian\, Tim Whitehead\, Chris Laurence\, Eddie Parker\, Peter Erskine\, Vince Mendoza\, Mark Lockheart\, Julian Argüelles\, Iain Ballamy’s Acme\, Mark Lockheart Quartet\, Andy Sheppard\, Gerard Presencer\, Colin Towns\, Martin Speake Quintet and Jazz singer Stacey Kent among others.\n\nNorma Winstone has worked with many major European musicians and visiting Americans\, as well as with most of her peers in British jazz\, including Garrick\, John Surman\, Michael Gibbs\, Mike Westbrook and her former husband\, the pianist John Taylor. With Taylor and trumpeter Kenny Wheeler she performed and recorded three albums for ECM as a member of the trio Azimuth between 1977 and 1980; their CD How It Was Then… Never Again was given four stars by DownBeat magazine. In addition\, she made an album with the American pianist Jimmy Rowles (Well Kept Secret\, 1993). In February 2018\, Winstone released Descansado: Songs for Films\, a collection which AllMusic described as “an unusual and provocative album. She was awarded an MBE in 2007.\n\nHuw Warren has played and collaborated with an astounding number of musicians during his career\, including Lleuwen Steffan\, Mark Feldman\, Maria Pia de Vito\, Peter Herbert\, Joanna MacGregor\, Theo Bleckmann\, Pamela Thorby\, Erik Truffaz\, Gabriele Mirabassi\, Ralph Towner\, R.A.
