SUMMARY:A Hologram Maze (1st show)
DESCRIPTION: 'A Hologram Maze' is the latest project from composer and pianist David Austin Grey.\nA quartet featuring some of Birmingham and the UK's finest improvisors; AHM perform carefully constructed original compositions\, filled with soaring\, lyrical melodies and enticingly catchy rhythmic passages.\n\nThe open approach of the band leads to shifts of mood and energy through each piece. The result is music that is laced with edgy\, dynamic flair and at the same-time beautifully warm and sweet.\n\nThis same treatment is also applied to a handful of re-workings of classic jazz standards drawn from the repertoire of composers such as Wayne Shorter\, Sam Rivers\, Harold Arlen and Vernon Duke.\nLine-up:\nDavid Austin Grey - piano\n\nXhosa Cole - tenor sax / flute\n\nShivraj Singh - double bass\n\nNathan Jones - drums\n\n \nAbout\n\nDavid Austin Grey is a UK based pianist\, composer and educator working across multiple musical disciplines\, and often combining different artistic mediums.
