With collaboration of Grammy Award Winner Dave Darlington in New York\, he released his album\, ‘The Reasons Don’t Change’ (Whirlwind Recordings). The album received critical acclaim across Europe and the UK:\n\n“Contender for Album of The Year” – All About Jazz\n\n“Spectacular” – The Guardian\n\n“Henry Spencer is considered one of the great talents of the British jazz scene. His great talent is drawing a high level of recognition. Although the government is relaxing its Covid restrictions on July 19th 2021 the Vortex will continue to operate measures to protect users of the premises.\nPlease note the following:\n\n\n \tPlease buy tickets in advance as there will be no door sales.\n \tWe ask you not to attend gigs if you have or think you may have any Covid-19 symptoms. If you can’t make a gig because you have to self-isolate then just get in touch by filling out this form and we’ll give you a voucher for another gig.\n \tWe will ask you on entry to sign in for NHS Test and Trace either using the NHS Covid app or manually\n \tThere will be no standing at gigs. Everyone who books a ticket will be allocated a seat\, but we cannot guarantee that you will have a table.\n \tOrders for drinks and snacks will be taken and paid for using the Butlr app which you can download on arrival. (If you do not have a smartphone then your order will be taken at the table and you can make a contactless payment. We do not accept cash.)\n \tWe ask that everyone wears a mask when moving around inside the building.\n \tAutomatic hand sanitiser stations are provided at various places within the building and we encourage regular use of hand sanitiser.\n \tFull details of the measures that we are taking to prevent transmission of Covid are set out in our risk assessment and management plan which can be found on our website.\n

DESCRIPTION:"IMPROV NIGHTS" is a regular event at The Vortex Jazz Club - Downstairs curated by London-based drummer and percussionist Stefano Ancora.\n\n\nLIVE DUO and TRIO sets of improvised music\, with a different set-up every time\, then followed by a jam session and tasty records selection.\n\nALL IN A REAL-TIME MUSICAL CONVERSATION!!\n\nFor this special "London Jazz Festival" edition\, we'll have a brand new combo formed by Stefano Ancora on drums\, Maurizio Ravalico on percussion\, Domenico Angarano on bass and Chris Williams on alto sax! AND...dj Kozber and dj Sheenaz Mohamed on vinyls!!\n\n9:30pm --> dj-set warm up\n\n10:30pm-12:30am --> live sets\n\n12:30-2am --> dj-set\n\n"It's the honesty you apply to your playing that makes music enjoyable.
