DESCRIPTION:Line-up:\nTom Ollendorff - guitar\n\nBen Wendel - saxophone\n\nMarc Michel - drums\n\nConor Chaplin - bass\nAbout\nGuitarist Tom Ollendorff has been fast building a reputation as an outstanding improviser and imaginative composer. His album A Song For You  is an elegantly accomplished mix of gracefully grooving songlike themes\, warmly conversational improvising\, baroque-like unaccompanied etudes\, and headlong fast-bop swing. His 2022 tour is a collaboration with saxophonist Ben Wendel\, who over the last two decades has established himself as one of the jazz world's most prolific and innovative voices.\n\n\n\nGrammy nominated saxophonist Ben Wendel has enjoyed a varied career as a performer\, composer and producer.  Highlights include tours\, performances and/or recordings with artists such as Tigran Hamasyan\, Antonio Sanchez\, Gerald Clayton\, Eric Harland\, Taylor Eigsti\, Linda May Han Oh\, Moonchild\, Louis Cole\, Daedelus\, Snoop Dogg and the artist formerly known as Prince. Ben is a founding member of the Grammy nominated group Kneebody.\n\n\n \n\n\nCOVID INFORMATION FOR AUDIENCE MEMBERS – PLEASE READ\nWelcome to the Vortex. Although the government has relaxed its Covid restrictions the Vortex continues to operate measures to protect users of the premises.\nPlease note the following:\n\n \tWe ask you not to attend gigs if you have or think you may have any Covid-19 symptoms.\n \tWe also ask audience members to do a lateral flow test on the day of the gig and only attend if it's negative. If you can’t make a gig because you have to self-isolate then just get in touch by filling out this form and we’ll issue a refund.\n \tIf you would like to sit by friends who have bought separate tickets\, please email the club with details and we will make every effort to accommodate.\n \tWe are cashless. We only accept cards for purchases at the bar (except American Express).\n \tWe ask that everyone wears a mask when moving around inside the building.\n \tAutomatic hand sanitiser stations are provided at various places within the building.\n \tFull details of the measures that we are taking to prevent transmission of Covid are set out in our risk assessment and management plan which can be found on our website.\n\n\n
