DESCRIPTION:Line-up:\nEmma Rawicz - Saxes\, Bass Clarinet & Flute\n\nIvo Neame - Piano\n\nAnt Law - Guitar\n\nKevin Glasgow - Bass\n\nJay Davis - Drums\n \nAbout\nEmma Rawicz presents ‘Chroma’ featuring Ant Law and Ivo Neame.  Chroma is a collection of Emma’s original tunes inspired by her synaesthesia\, compositions based upon various unusual colours such as Viridian and Phlox.\nEmma is an award winning young saxophonist and composer\, already making waves on the UK music scene. She has been described as 'a force to be reckoned with' (Jazzwise) and 'a fast rising star' (London Jazz News). At the age of 19 she has already recorded her eagerly awaited debut album\, ‘Incantation’\, featuring Ant Law\, made up entirely of her original compositions\, due to be released in May 2022. She has also created a name for herself both as a bandleader and a sideman. A new arrival on the scene\, she has already made an impact\, regularly playing at major London jazz venues with a wide range of established musicians. Emma is a recipient of the 2021 Drake Yolanda Award.\nEmma's influences range from modern jazz and fusion to folk and soul\, key figures in her musical development including Chris Potter\, Ari Hoenig\, Kenny Jarrett\, Joe Henderson\, Chick Corea and more.\nGrowing up in rural North Devon\, Emma didn't discover jazz until the age of 15\, and didn't pick up a tenor saxophone until a year later\, but had spent her childhood otherwise immersed in largely folk and classical music.\nEmma is a natural performer. DESCRIPTION:Line-up:\nAlexandra Ridout - Trumpet\n\nWill Sach - Double Bass\n\nWill Cleasby - Drums\n\nIver Cardas - Electric Guitar\n\nAbout\nAlexandra Ridout\, Jazz Trumpeter from London\, UK\, was crowned the winner of the BBC Young Musician Jazz Award 2016 aged 17 and was noted in ‘The shape of jazz to come: who to look out for in 2018’ in Jazzwise magazine. In 2018 Alexandra won The British Jazz Awards ‘Rising Star’ category. In October 2019 Alexandra was named one of ‘London’s Most Influential People’ under 25 and was a Parliamentary Jazz Awards nominee in 2020. The Trio consists of Will Sach on Bass and Will Cleasy on Drums. They are to be joined by special guest Iver Cardas on guitar.\nThey dig deep into some of their favourite Jazz musicians music as well as their own compositions.\n\nAlexandra features in many bands and has performed all over Europe with them\, including Tom Ridout’s ‘No Excuses’ Band\, Mathew Herbert Brexit Big Band\, Clare Teal’s mini Big Band\, Guy Barkers Big Band at the Royal Albert Hall\, The Alex Hitchcock Quintet\, Yazz Ahmed’s Polyhymnia\, Paul Booth’s Quintet (album has just been recorded) and The Calum Gourlay Big band. She also performs in various situations with ECM artist Kit Downes\, and world renowned drummers Jason Brown and James Maddren.\n\nIn 2020\, she was chosen for the JEN Sisters in Jazz Collegiate Combo 2021. Alexandra released her debut EP ‘Remote Duets’ in 2020. She has featured on various albums released in the last 4 years. Alexandra fronts her own band\, The Alexandra Ridout Quintet\, who have recently recorded their debut album.\n\nShe has recently moved to New York City to Study her Masters Degree at the Manhattan School of Music. Her and Iver Cardas (guitar) are visiting from New York.\n\nIn 2022 She will be going on a European Tour with the Grammy nominated\, Blue Note signed all star band Artemis. She will also be performing in Köln with award winning pianist Pablo Held\, who will be composing specifically for the band he is bringing to that performance.
