DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nDoors 3pm\, music 3.30pm\n \n\nTrumpeter Henry Lowther and saxophonist Martin Speake\, both outstanding soloists\, are featured as composers\, as the LJO closes its 30th anniversary season.\n\nUp-and-coming arranger Charlie Rees has created new jazz orchestra settings of Speake’s original tunes\, while Lowther’s beautifully-crafted pieces have been a feature of LJO gigs since he joined the band in the early 1990s. Later this month the band enters the studio to make a recording of Henry’s music.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Doors 7.30pm\, music 8pm\n\n \nHouse band\nSean Gibbs - trumpet\n\nNick Costley-White - guitar\n\nMirko Scarcia - double bass\n\nWill Glaser - drums\n\n \nAbout\n\n\n\n\n\nAfter a long hiatus\, you can once again head to Dalston and catch up-and-coming musicians play alongside some of the most innovative improvisers from across the scene.\n\nA weekly session on Sunday evenings\, the jams will be hosted by four of London’s finest: drummer Jas Kayser\, pianist Rick Simpson and tenor saxophonists Helena Kay and Riley Stone-Lonergan\, each one hosting one session on rotation.\n\n \n\nIf you’re an instrumentalist - we can’t wait to welcome you back to the club - you can attend for free if you’re planning on playing with the house band.
