He has been an important figure on the UK jazz scene since the mid 1990s. His ongoing significance is evident in the superb album of duets which he recorded with the great pianist John Taylor. Tonight’s trio performance features new music from Fairhurst’s upcoming album due to be released later this year. The group features the propulsive bass work of Dave Whitford and brilliant drummer Tim Giles.
