DESCRIPTION:Doors 3:00 PM\, Music 3:30 PM\n \nAbout\n\n\nThe London Jazz Orchestra closes out its season of monthly concerts by featuring the music of phenomenal pianist and composer Pete Saberton\, whose unique writing and playing style helped define the sound of the band. Taking over from founding pianist John Taylor\, Pete was the LJO's pianist for over 20 years until seceded by Alcyona Mick following his death from cancer in 2012.\n\nThis programme also sees great new pieces from saxophonists Tori Freestone and Martin Speake\, band inspiration John Warren\, (famous for his collaborations with John Surman and Kenny Wheeler)\, and a homage to Saberton by lead trumpet Noel Langley.\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Doors 7.45pm\, music 8.15pm\n\n \nHouse band\nTBC\n\n \nAbout\n\n\n\n\n\nAfter a long hiatus\, you can once again head to Dalston and catch up-and-coming musicians play alongside some of the most innovative improvisers from across the scene.\n\nA weekly session on Sunday evenings\, the jams will be hosted by four of London’s finest: drummer Jas Kayser\, pianist Rick Simpson and tenor saxophonists Helena Kay and Riley Stone-Lonergan\, each one hosting one session on rotation.\n\n \n\nIf you’re an instrumentalist - we can’t wait to welcome you back to the club - you can attend for free if you’re planning on playing with the house band.
