This work features Maria Chiara Argirò (Innovative Leisure) on synth and electronics. The EP described as\, "this gorgeousness" by Tom Ravenscroft BBC6\, explores an empowering world\, "a delicate world in osmosis with nature and humans" (Ma Track Bien Aimée\, Prun) that sees women at the centre.\n\nAt the Vortex\, Ghezzi and Argirò will present Emerald with live sound manipulation by Anything Pointless.\n\nAnything Pointless is an expansive and uncompromising experimental producer from Turin and now based in London. He delivers bright and glassy sound-art landscapes and makes use of granular technology to expand\, stretch and move digital air in unexpected ways. He strives to seek his sound from all the resources he's come across creating something new but still paying homage to Jazz music he loves.\n\nSince 2017 he has been making himself more known in the Jazz scene\, constantly trying to develop his sound through the genres he regularly performs in like: Jazz\, Latin music\, Fusion\, Afrobeat and many more. He is heavily influenced through bands/artist like Roy Hargrove\, Marquis Hill\, Christian Scott\, Freddie Hubbard\, Lee Morgan etc. who all aimed to find their unique sound within the music they performed/composed.\n\nAfter finishing his studies in 2021 Grifton continued on to be apart of bands such as: TC and the Groove family\, Neue Grafik Ensemble and many more. As well has performing with bands/projects like Nubiyan Twist\, Soweto Kinch\, Shabaka Hutchings and Blue Lab Beats.\n\nFor this event at the Vortex he will be playing his original compositions with his quintet!\n\n \n\n[embed]https://youtu.be/BST2msjyMs4[/embed]
