DESCRIPTION:Doors 7:45 PM\, Music 8:30 PM - 2 set(s) of music\n \nLine-up:\nJim Rattigan - French Horn\n\nNick Costley-White - Guitar\n\n \nAbout\n\n\n\nInspired by the work of Jim Hall and Bob Brookmeyer\, Jim Rattigan and Nick Costley-White play music from their recent album release  'You Must Believe in Spring' (from the box set Duos)\, a selection of Standards from Richard Rogers\, Michel Legrand\, Antonio Carlos Jobim\, to Bill Evans\, Steve Swallow and Charlie Parker. They will also be performing some original compositions.\n \n\n\nDuos (Jim Rattigan with Ivo Neame\, Nick Costley-White\, and Hans Koller) de Jim Rattigan with Ivo Neame\, Nick Costley-White\, and Hans Koller\n\nJim Rattigan has performed all over the world both as a jazz soloist and as a band member of various groups. These include the Michael Brecker Quindectet\, the Charlie Haden / Carla Bley Liberation Music Orchestra\, the McCoy Tyner Big Band\, Django Bates’ Delightful Precipice\, the Creative Jazz Orchestra with Kenny Wheeler\, Brad Mehldau with the Britten Sinfonia. Jim has toured and recorded with Mike Gibbs and the Hans Koller band with Steve Swallow and Bill Frizzell. Mark Lockheart's Scratch Band\, Julian Arguelles Ensemble\, BBC Big Band\, Guy Barker Big Band\, the London Sinfonietta and the NDR big band in Hamburg. Jim has worked with all the major London symphony orchestras and was a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for 6 years. Jim has played on numerous film scores including several James Bond movies\, Lord Of The Rings\, Batman\, The Bourne Ultimatum and many more. He has also written music used for film T.V. and radio. Jim has worked with many pop artists including Shirley Bassey\, Tom Jones\, Paul McCartney\, George Michael\, Jim was recently awarded an ARAM from the Royal Academy for his contribution to music.\n\n\n\n\n\nNick Costley-White is one of the most in demand guitarists on the UK jazz scene\, renowned for a deep understanding of the jazz tradition and repertoire\, alongside a virtuosic technique and progressive approach to improvising. Nick is lucky enough to have performed with some of the most renowned jazz musicians in the country including Stan Sulzmann\, Gareth Lockrane\, Jason Rebello\, Alex Garnett\, Mark Taylor\, Steve Fishwick and Jeff Williams and holds the guitar chair with the London Jazz Orchestra. Nick performs extensively throughout the UK as well as touring in Europe\, Australia\, China and South America.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
