The concert included Hall Overton’s arrangements of Monk’s compositions. (including a transcription of Monk's piano solo on "Little Rootie Tootie").\n\nTony Kofi\, a renowned saxophonist\, composer\, and educator\, began his recording career by paying tribute to the legendary jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk with his double award-winning album "All is Know." He will be appearing with his Tentet ensemble at the Vortex to perform the 1959 classic “Thelonious Monk Orchestra at the Town Hall\," as well as some other Monk originals. The ensemble features some of the UK's most exciting and upcoming talent in jazz. Featuring Kezia Pollendine (piano)\, Oli Fitzgerald (double bass)\, Noah Ojumu (drums)\, and Liv Hughes (Euphonium ).
