This special performance will also highlight the acclaimed New York pianist David Berkman as the featured artist for the evening.\n\nA highly respected figure in jazz\, David Berkman grew up in Cleveland\, Ohio\, playing in house bands with legends like Sonny Stitt\, Hank Crawford\, and Carter Jefferson. Since moving to New York City in 1985\, he has built a distinguished career as a pianist\, composer\, and educator.\n\nAs both a bandleader and sideman\, Berkman has performed with jazz greats such as Dick Oatts\, Joe Lovano\, Tom Harrell\, Cecil McBee\, Dave Douglas\, Brian Blade\, Chris Potter\, and Jane Monheit.
