DESCRIPTION:Doors 3:30 PM\, Music 4:00 PM\n \nABOUT\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs it approaches 35 years\, the LJO’s association with the Vortex - London’s longest jazz residency - is a miracle of longevity\, producing great new music\, all written by its members\, month after month. Though Stan Sulzmann no longer leads the star saxophone section\, he continues to write for the band\, and this gig will feature his new arrangement of Bella Del Gella by saxophonist (and son) Matt Sulzmann. It finds good company in uplifting pieces by trumpeter Henry Lowther\, pianist Alcyona Mick\, bassist Calum Gourlay\, lead trumpet Noel Langley\, and director Scott Stroman.  Check out these amazing up-close-and personal sessions!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Doors 7.45pm\, music 8.15pm\n\nAbout\n\n\n\n\n\nA weekly session on Sunday evenings\, the jams will be hosted by some of London’s finest: drummer Jas Kayser\, pianist Rick Simpson\, guitarist Nick Costley-White\, trumpeter Sean Gibbs and tenor saxophonists Harben Kay and Riley Stone-Lonergan (+ sometimes a few guest leaders) each one hosting one session on rotation.\n\nIf you’re an instrumentalist  you can attend for free if you’re planning on playing with the house band. No need to book in advance!\n\nOur dear Vortex members are also welcome to these sessions free of charge.\n\n\n\n\n
