A new late-night jazz hang for Dalston where you can grab a drink and listen to some of the best improvised musicians from around the city. For only £6\, check out exciting music from a revolving line-up of innovative performers digging into standards and new music alongside DJs spinning vinyl until the early hours. A relaxed atmosphere with special drinks offers each night and an opportunity to be part of the extended Vortex community.\nContexture' is a new project lead by drummer Sacha Harlan. A continuation of his long-standing musical partnership with bassist Kobe Heath-Ngugi; a duo that has collaborated with the top forces in the British Jazz scene such as Byron Wallen and Hans Koller\, as well as touring with the frontman of late 70s rock band ‘Squeeze’\, Glenn Tilbrook. They are joined by George Mooney and Olivia Hughes\, two fiercely individual powerhouses with an incredible synergy.\nThey will explore Sacha’s new compositions\, written for the group.
