A new late-night jazz hang for Dalston where you can grab a drink and listen to some of the best improvised musicians from around the city. For only £6\, check out exciting music from a revolving line-up of innovative performers digging into standards and new music alongside DJs spinning vinyl until the early hours. A relaxed atmosphere with special drinks offers each night and an opportunity to be part of the extended Vortex community.\n\nLiminal is a London/ Bristol based band\, presenting a unique blend of deconstructed elements from rock\, jazz\, americana and electronic music with the experimental sensitivities of long-form collective electroacoustic improvisation.\n\nComprised of two guitars\, drums\, and a custom transducer/ prepared-piano setup\, the band uses their extensive sonic arsenal to plunge into rich\, dreamy chasms of saturated and colourful sounds that emerge\, dialogue and evolve in real-time\, with only simple plans\, deep listening and shared aesthetics guiding the course of each performance.
