This month we welcome Ella Clayton with her beautiful\, nuanced songs and singularly enchanting voice.\n\n \n\nElla Clayton\n \nElla Clayton is a singer-songwriter from London\, known for her storytelling and spell binding voice. Influenced by the likes of Jeff Buckley\, Joan Armatrading\, and Adrianne Lenker\, she began writing songs at 13\, shaping a soulful\, alt-folk sound that has captivated audiences across the UK and Europe. Her debut album Murmurations (2022) and acoustic follow-up Stairwell (2023) received critical acclaim\, with music featured in the BAFTA-winning film Sweetheart and Netflix's Dead Man’s Phone. In 2023\, she was handpicked by George Ezra to perform at Latitude Festival and has since sold out multiple headline shows in London and Brighton. He leads the chamber-jazz ensemble Grande Família and his quartet\, the Billy Marrows Band. Billy is also a member of projects across a broad spectrum of the London jazz scene such as Huw V Williams’ Di-Cysgodion\, OK Aurora and the Tom Ridout Quintet. He has toured with Chelsea Carmichael\, the Tom Barford Group and Patchwork Jazz Orchestra and appeared on a number of albums\, including Amsterdam-based Sam Newbould’s Bogus Notus and Tom Barford's Bloomer\, on Edition records. Billy's debut album 'Penelope' raised over £6\,000 for World Child Cancer and is shortlisted for Jazz Album of the Year in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2025. According to Jazzwise\, "Marrows plays with such lyrical melodicism...you can't help but be seduced into his charmed world".\n\nElliot Frost is an Australian jazz guitarist\, composer and bandleader who’s compositional style has been described as “richly melodic” and playing described as “intelligent and inspired”. Since relocating to London in 2019\, Elliot has become a burgeoning bandleader and is also a steadily becoming a sought-after sideman on the London jazz scene. In May 2023\, he released his debut album ‘New Surroundings’ courtesy of AMP Music & Records. In 2024 Elliot embarked on an Arts Council funded six week stay in New York City where he studied with the likes of Mike Moreno\, Ben Monder\, Joe Martin\, Colin Stranahan\, Troy Roberts and Steve Cardenas. He has also recorded with internationally acclaimed musicians Chris Cheek\, Desmond White and Colin Stranahan for his follow up release “Transatlantic”\, which was released in late 2024.\n\nFrost and Marrows come together with a brilliant rhythm section of Huw V Williams on double bass and Ollie Peszynski on drums in this co-led band to perform a selection of their own compositions as well as some their favourite music from celebrated jazz musicians/composers including Paul Motian\, Keith Jarrett and Joe Zawinul.\n\nPenelope (in support of World Child Cancer) de Billy Marrows\n\nTransatlantic de Elliot Frost
