The spontaneity and creativity inherent in the genre keep his musical journey fresh\, dynamic\, and authentic.\n\nHis pursuit of musical exploration took him to the Fontys Conservatorium in Tilburg and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.\n\nAfter years of working as a sideman and co-bandleader\, Stef Joosten released his debut album More Life in October 2024. This album features duos with Anna Serierse (vocals)\, Koen Smits (trumpet)\, Prashant Samlal (guitar)\, and Jeroen van Vliet (piano). In these duo settings\, Stef explores the intimate and introspective nature of the interactions\, allowing his bass to take on less traditional roles.\n\nIn January 2025\, Stef launched a new European band following a residency at Paradox\, featuring Ivo Neame (GB)\, Gard Nilssen (NO)\, and Jesse Schilderink (NL). A live album of this band is scheduled for release in 2026.\n\nIn recent years\, Stef has led TISOI\, collaborating with British pianist Ivo Neame\, Morris Kliphuis\, and Kika Sprangers. As a composer\, he has contributed to the collective works of Ezthetic and Nyala. Ezthetic released their first album in March 2022 and Nyala’s A Way of Lifealready was released May 2024.\n\nSince January 2020\, Stef has been sharing his expertise as a faculty member at the Fontys Conservatorium Tilburg\, part of the Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts. As of July 2023\, Stef is part of Music Hub Brabant\, a program initiated by Talent Hub Brabant aiming to systematically integrate talent development in music within the cultural landscape of Brabant.\n\nIvo Neame is an internationally renowned pianist\, composer\, and bandleader who has established himself as one of the most innovative and dynamic figures in the contemporary jazz scene. He has worked with ensembles as diverse as the Frankfurt Radio Big Band and the London Sinfonietta. He is best known for his creative contributions to the award-winning bands Phronesis and the Marius Neset Quintet; as a sideman he has collaborated with numerous other artists such as Hermeto Pascoal\, Kenny Wheeler and Marc Guiliana. Ivo’s music is characterised by a stunning mix of virtuosity\, sophistication\, and playfulness - his performances are known for their dynamic energy and emotional depth.\n\nHis tenth album under his own name “Zettalogue” was released on Ubuntu Music in October 2024. Their setup blends piano and synths with drums\, bass synth\, and electronics.\n\nBoth musicians are prominent figures in London’s jazz and electronic music scenes\, having worked with artists such as Rosie Turton\, Liran Donin\, Jamie Leeming\, Dugong\, Bruno Heinen\, and These New Puritans.\n\nDrawing on influences such as Aaron Parks\, Kneebody\, and Bonobo\, their music stands out for its balance between earthy grooves and dreamy\, ethereal melodies. They will present music from their recent EP Leaving\, alongside new songs\, exploring intimate dialogues that may build to intense explosions.\n\nRaw Fish\n\nIn the Danish/Italian Raw Fish\, avant garde electronic music blends with jazz and indie music\, in a rough-edged sonic blast. Teis Semey and Giovanni Iacovella both make use of their acoustic instruments upgraded with electronics and samplers. With access to modern electronic sounds\, they blast through the confines of genre\, and reveal themselves as creative innovators of music.
