London-based guitarist Erhan Öztürk has firmly established himself within the city’s vibrant Gypsy Jazz scene. Having performed alongside Angelo Debarre and many other leading figures of the genre, Öztürk weaves together his own compositions with traditional melodies, all infused with the irresistible swing of Gypsy Jazz.
At the Vortex Jazz Club, the Erhan Öztürk Trio will perform a specially curated programme that blends original works with timeless Gypsy Jazz classics – a rare opportunity to hear this repertoire in such a setting.
