London-based guitarist Görkem Özalp leads a compelling trio blending modern jazz with influences that trace a journey from Istanbul to London. After completing his music education in Turkey, Özalp relocated to London in 2023 to pursue a Master’s in Music Performance, quickly establishing himself as a distinctive new voice on the city’s jazz scene. His debut EP Addresses showcases his lyrical guitar style, rhythmic clarity, and thoughtful original compositions.
On bass is Costa Tancredi, an acclaimed London-based musician originally from Italy. A Middlesex University jazz graduate, he has performed with artists including Eric Clapton, Amy Winehouse, Pee Wee Ellis, and Eliza Doolittle, bringing deep groove, versatility, and musical sensitivity to the trio.
On drums, Burak Ersöz adds a powerful and nuanced voice shaped by his background in jazz and Anatolian music. Originally from Ankara and now based in London, he has performed with groups such as Anatolian Fusion Ensemble, Female Voices of Turkey, and Giants of Anatolia.
Expect an engaging evening of modern jazz, rich interplay, and original music from three musicians shaping today’s London jazz sound.
