About:

A performance of multi directional improvised music.

Reuben Goldmark was a finalist in the esteemed BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year competition and his compositions were featured on BBC 4 and BBC Radio 3. He was awarded the Dankworth Prize for Jazz Composition in both 2022 and 2023, making him the first ever back-to-back recipient of the award. As a performer, he has graced numerous prestigious venues across the UK, including select appearances at the Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, Snape Maltings as part of the Aldeburgh Festival and Saffron Hall supporting Erland Cooper

Bass player Huw V Williams, originally hailing from rural North Wales is one of the most exciting and unique musicians on the scene at the moment. The biggest thing in Huw’s musical ethos is community and the ability to create and make the best music possible with anyone, whatever the musical context, ranging from completely freely improvised music, straight ahead jazz, with singer songwriters or anything in between.

Andrew Lisle, born and raised in Northumberland (UK) but now based in London, is a multi-directional drummer, and composer. His quick and highly textural playing filled with rhythmic complexity makes him a highly in-demand member of the fertile jazz & improvised music community. In turns both propulsive and abstract, Lisle has worked with many of the leading voices on the UK and European improvised music scene, including: Kit Downes, John Edwards, Alex Ward, Camila Nebbia, Charlotte Keeffe, Tom Challenger, Ab Baars, Rodrigo Amado, John Dikeman, Colin Webster, and many more.
