This one-off performance will feature London-affiliated musicians who have journeyed to Amsterdam and New York. This special reunion brings them together for a special evening, showcasing compositions primarily by Alice Leggett, complemented by works from other band members.
Based in Amsterdam for the last four years, after seven years in London, Alice Leggett has cultivated her musical prowess under the guidance of mentors like Ben van Gelder, Tineke Postma, and Jasper Blom. Her recent exchange program in New York, studying with Ambrose Akinmusire and Craig Weinrib, further enriched her musical journey.
Alice is a familiar face at renowned venues in the Netherlands such as the Bimhuis, Paradox, and the North Sea Jazz where she leads her own quartet as well as being a strong side woman. Collaborations with esteemed musicians like Sun Mi Hong, Teis Semey, Louis Cole, and Chaerin Im have shaped her unique musical voice.
This one-off performance will be an exceptional gathering from across borders.
