Dalston Song Club [LATE NIGHT]

Doors 10 PM, Music 10:30 PM

Two songwriters join Matthew Herd to perform in the round as part of this intimate, late night series.
This month features lilo and Joseph Futak.

Praised for their ethereality and acoustic hymnals, lilo are the emerging duo on everyone’s radar. Hailing from London, the life-long friends only officially started releasing music last year but have quickly left a lasting imprint on the country’s burgeoning indie-folk scene. Acting as an EP prelude, set for release in spring, “Just A Thought” is their first single of 2023.

Meeting at school aged 11 in Winchester, Christie Garner and Helen Dixon have cultivated a decade deep bond. Their debut EP ‘Sleep Country’ forecasted slots at esteemed festivals like Latitude, and it’s fair to say that the artists are showing no signs of slowing down.

Joseph Futak

Joseph Futak is a London based musician and artist mixing raw indie folk with ambient electronics and slowcore-inspired band arrangements – exploring an intricate relationship between experimental compositions and contemporary songs. After playing for several years in London bands, Joseph is now developing his solo project with the help of friends George Davies, Lucy Rushton and Osian Clifford, and is already building a reputation for striking and moving live performances.
