Tonight, Ewan Moore joins forces with some of the UK’s finest talents to showcase his project Pitchfork. With a nod to the work of Elvin Jones’ Drum Machine and Tony Williams’ Lifetime, this drummer led quintet, blends an organic sound and sense of unity with an openness to explore new sonic landscapes. Refining the compositions for many years has lead this captivating body of work to hold its own, with a unique sound and influences from John Coltrane, Chrstian Scott, Brian Blade and Joe Henderson.
As well as leading his own project Ewan has performed as a sideman in a multitude of settings in the U.K and abroad. Currently Ewan is a co-leader and founder of the neo fusion group BIGHEADMODE as well as performing with Nye Banfield, Luke Marzec, Jamies Isaac, Isanna and Charlotte Church.
